Hunan Academy of Agricultural Sciences and CAS Institute of Automation launched the AI hybrid rice breeding platform "Yuandao Siyuan" in Changsha. Named after Yuan Longping, it has a database, knowledge graph and Q&A assistant to support breeders' intelligent decision-making and is already used for third-generation hybrid rice research. Experts say AI and biotech convergence is key to global seed competition, calling for more data sharing and open cooperation on the platform.
